The film adaptation of the book “The Help” is a wonderful, heart filled movie that everyone should check out. The entire concept of the story is a story that needed to be told and this film certainly captured the story and exploited it to its audience.
First when I seen the trailers for this movie I wasn’t one bit interested but not long after reading reviews I became interested and wanted to check this movie out. Unfortunately I missed it while it was in theatres but had the opportunity to view it last night and I was very pleased with the entire movie.
The film had a solid cast and I really think that both Emma Stone and Viola Davis gave a Oscar worthy performance and I look forward to seeing them playing more serious roles in the near future. Other actresses such as Octavia Spencer, Jessica Chastain and Allison Janney gave us strong supporting roles.
The Help was by far one of the best movies of 2011 because it offered us something different than most movies have to offer. It gave us inspiration and told us a story of strong woman that had to overcome so much.
The Help is certainly worth the watch, and I hope you check it out.
